1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy applies to Binge Drama Home. For the purposes of this policy, "we," "our," and "us" refer to the developer of Binge Drama Home.

Binge Drama Home is an Android launcher application built as a drama-first entertainment product. It is designed to help users relax, discover short-form drama content, continue watching easily, and still use launcher features such as app organization, shortcuts, wallpaper support, widgets, and optional notification-related features.

2. Information We Collect

Installed App Information

Because Binge Drama Home is a launcher, it needs visibility into apps installed on your device in order to display the app drawer, support search, show shortcuts, launch apps, pin widgets, and organize the home screen. This may include app names, package names, icons, shortcut metadata, and installation state.

Installed app inventory is treated as sensitive data. We use it for launcher functionality, and it must not be sold or shared for advertising or analytics monetization.

Usage, Diagnostics, and Performance Information

We and our service providers may collect information about how the app is used and performs, such as feature interactions, session events, crash signals, app version, device model, operating system version, language, time zone, network state, and general technical diagnostics.

Advertising and Attribution Data

If ads are shown in the app, advertising and monetization partners may collect identifiers and related measurement data, including advertising identifiers, app set or installation identifiers, ad interaction data, device and network signals, attribution data, and campaign or referrer information from Google Play Install Referrer.

Notification-Related Data

If you explicitly enable notification access for launcher features such as notification dots or related user-facing surfaces, the app may process notification metadata and content made available by the Android system. We use that information to power the feature you turned on.

Files, Media, Wallpaper, and Widget Data

On supported devices and versions, the app may access stored files or media that you choose to use with launcher features, such as wallpaper-related features, backup or restore, and file-related search or organization features. The app may also access widget-related information needed to add and manage widgets on the home screen.

Preferences and Local App Data

We may store local settings and preferences such as launcher layout, favorites, language selections, personalization choices, and short-drama related preferences like watch state or list data.

Short-Drama Content and Playback Data

The drama module may request short-drama categories, popular lists, new lists, category-based feeds, episode metadata, recommendation data, and playback-related content through integrated content SDKs. To support a smooth entertainment experience, the app may store on-device records such as viewing history, current episode, unlock progress, favorite status, local reminder cache, update time, and basic content metadata like titles, cover images, descriptions, language, category, and episode information.

Some short-drama reminder data is cached locally so the app can avoid repeated prompts, prefetch reminder candidates, and clean expired reminder records after limited retention windows.

What We Do Not Intentionally Request as Core Permissions

Binge Drama Home does not request permissions for phone number access, call logs, SMS access, microphone, camera, contacts, or precise GPS location as core functionality for the current Google Play build.

We also do not ask for a user account to use the app.

3. How We Use Information

• To provide core launcher functionality reasonably expected by users of a launcher app.
• To personalize optional features you turn on inside the app.
• To protect the app, detect abuse, debug failures, and maintain service quality.
• To meet legal obligations, enforce terms, and respond to valid requests from authorities where required by law.

4. How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers and SDK partners that help us operate Binge Drama Home. Not every provider is active on every device or in every session. Some providers may be selected dynamically depending on region, availability, ad demand, or mediation results.

Categories of Third Parties

• Analytics and configuration providers: Google Firebase Analytics, Firebase Remote Config, and BytePlus AppLog.
• Advertising and monetization providers: Google Mobile Ads / AdMob, AppLovin, Pangle, Meta Audience Network, Unity Ads, Vungle, and Mintegral.
• Attribution providers: Google Play Install Referrer and related attribution tooling.
• Content or feature SDKs: ByteDance short-drama related SDK components used to support content features.

Important Limitations

• We do not sell personal data.
• Installed app inventory obtained for launcher functionality must not be shared for ad monetization or analytics monetization.
• Notification access is used only for the corresponding user-facing feature if you choose to enable it.

Legal and Business Transfers

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer, subject to applicable law.

5. Drama Features and Data Flows

Because Binge Drama Home is a drama-first launcher, part of the app is dedicated to short-drama discovery, browsing, watching, and re-engagement. These features are central to the product experience and are not incidental add-ons.

Core Drama Features

• Drama home and category browsing: the app may load popular, new, and category-based drama feeds.
• Drama detail and playback: the app may load episode lists, open drama details, and continue playback from your latest episode.
• History and continue watching: the app may store the last watched episode, total episodes, progress, and related local history data.
• Favorites and lists: the app may store local collection or favorite status so you can revisit dramas later.
• Drama reminders and re-engagement: the app may fetch drama reminder configuration, cache unshown reminder candidates locally, and show reminder prompts under configured conditions.
• Ad-supported unlock or monetization flows: some drama surfaces may include ad placements or ad-triggered unlock-related flows.

SDKs Used for Drama Features

The current build uses ByteDance short-drama related SDK components, including the Pangle short-drama SDK and ByteDance ShortPlay / PSSDK interfaces, to request category data, drama feeds, episode metadata, and other short-drama content operations.

The app also uses local Room database storage to keep short-drama cache, watch history, collected items, current episode progress, and reminder candidate records on the device.

Configuration, Analytics, and Monetization Around Drama

Firebase Remote Config may be used to control drama reminder timing or related configuration. Firebase Analytics, BytePlus AppLog, and other integrated measurement tools may be used to understand feature usage, monitor delivery quality, and measure monetization or attribution performance. Advertising SDKs may be used to load placements such as splash, native, interstitial, or reward-related ads where enabled in the app.

7. Permissions and Device Access

The current Google Play build of Binge Drama Home includes or may rely on permissions and device access for the following purposes:

• App visibility: to display and launch installed apps, power search, and support launcher interoperability.
• Internet and network access: to load content, analytics, remote configuration, ads, and related services.
• Advertising identifiers and attribution: to measure ad performance, fraud prevention, and install attribution where supported.
• Wallpaper and widget support: to set wallpapers, suggest wallpaper behavior, and add or manage widgets.
• Notification access: only if you choose to grant it for notification dots or related features.
• Storage or media access on supported Android versions: to support selected file, media, wallpaper, backup, or restore features.
• Boot and app lifecycle events: to restore launcher-related state after device restart where needed.

Some permissions are provided by Android as special launcher capabilities, and some are introduced by integrated SDKs for analytics, ads, attribution, or security. We expect those partners to process data under their own privacy obligations.

8. Retention and Deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide app functionality, keep services secure, debug issues, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

• On-device launcher and preference data: generally remains on your device until you remove it, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
• Notification-related access: remains available only while the corresponding system permission stays enabled.
• Analytics, attribution, and ad-related data: may be retained by us or our partners for limited periods consistent with operational, legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and contractual needs.
• Install referrer or campaign metadata: may be stored for attribution and measurement as needed for limited business purposes.

Because Binge Drama Home does not require a user account, deletion is generally managed by uninstalling the app, clearing its storage, disabling specific permissions, or resetting advertising identifiers through device settings where supported.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes using modern transport security such as HTTPS where data is sent over the network.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or request portability of certain personal data. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

• You can uninstall the app at any time.
• You can clear app data through Android settings.
• You can revoke optional permissions, such as notification access, in Android settings.
• You can reset or limit advertising identifiers through your device settings where available.
• You can contact us to make a privacy request.

When you contact us, we may need enough information to understand and verify your request, especially because much of the data associated with the app may be device-linked rather than account-linked.

11. Children

Binge Drama Home is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided personal information in connection with the app, please contact us so we can review the request.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal developments, or operational needs. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date on this page.
